Owen and Georgia were fishing in the Lake Clark National Park area when they landed their first-ever Arctic grayling at the same time, PLUS both were big enough to receive trophy recognition!
They heard about Alaska’s Trophy Fish Program from their guides at All Alaska Outdoors during their stay. While fly fishing with topwater flies, they managed to get both fish to the surface.
Their advice? Stay patient, approach rising fish carefully, and try not to spook them. Owen said, "treat it a little like stalking bonefish on a flat".
Want to show off your own memorable catch? Enter it in Alaska’s Trophy Fish Program! You could earn recognition for an impressive fish and become part of Alaska’s fishing history.
