“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”

We are hosting open auditions for our upcoming production of the classic holiday favorite, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (directed by Devin Merilatt)

Saturday August 29th and 30th at 5PM

Whether you’re a seasoned performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, we invite actors of all ages and experience levels to come audition.

AUDITION DETAILS:
🗓️ Dates: Saturday, August 29 & Sunday, August 30
⏰ Time: 5PM - 8PM
đź“Ť Location: Subway Office, right across the street from Anchorage Community Theatre (1133 E 70th Ave, Anchorage, AK)

Roles Available: Adult and youth roles (seeking performers for the Herdman kids, the Bradley family, church members, and the pageant cast).

ABOUT THE SHOW:
🎄 In this hilarious and heartwarming Christmas classic, the church pageant takes an unexpected turn when the unruly Herdman siblings—the most notoriously mischievous kids in town—take over the lead roles. What follows is a chaotic, charming, and unexpectedly touching retelling of the Christmas story that reminds everyone what the season is truly about.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
đź“– Cold readings from the script will be provided at auditions.
đź“‹ Please bring a list of any scheduling conflicts during the rehearsal period.

Thinking about auditioning for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at Anchorage Community Theatre? Come find out exactly what to expect before the real deal!

Our Kids Audition Workshop is a fun, low-pressure chance for young performers to practice the audition process, add some new tools to their actor toolkit, ask questions, and build a little extra confidence before stepping into the audition room.

Devin Merilatt, director of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, will be there! That means students can practice, get feedback, and learn what the director is looking for ahead of auditions.

The workshop will be led by MaryAlice Larmi, Shaylyn Goard, and Devin Merilatt and is great for both newer performers AND kids who already have some auditions under their belt.
