And the next flower coming soon to my newest collection is…

The POPPY ā¤ļø

Red poppies are a symbol for honoring service members who died in war. If you know my story, you know this flower has a special place in my heart. While I wanted to release this one around Memorial Day, the pattern wasn’t quite out of my head at that point. I hope this poppy continues on to spread remembrance and the hope for peace in our world right now.

If you saw my recent reels then you know which flower is last to come for this collection, but I’ll share those final photos and details tomorrow! šŸ«¶šŸ¼

The 3rd flower to be included in my newest flower pattern collection is…

The GLADIOLUS šŸ’›

Yellow gladiolus represent friendship and joy, while pink ones represent motherly love and gentleness.

These blooms are worked by creating 3 elegant flowers to attach down the stem, so it’s a little bit involved and probably the most time consuming flower in this collection (always has to be one, right? šŸ™ƒ). But goodness, the finally product is full and cheery and just so fun!

I still can’t believe I have TWO more flowers to show you all! 🤩

Let me know if you’re excited to get some gladiolus on your hook!

The next flower coming soon is…

The Calla Lily šŸ¤

This was actually the last of all the patterns to be finalized and I almost didn’t include it at all because I wasn’t loving it. It turned out, it just needed some fine tuning and tweaks and I was finally able to get it how I envisioned in order to include it in the collection.

The calla lily signifies innocence, devotion, and rebirth. I think it’ll be an elegant and lovely addition to your bouquets.

This whole pattern collection still has some work to be done, but the release is unofficially planned for around the beginning of October.

The 1st of my next flower collection coming soon…

The PANSY šŸ’œ

I could truly cry over this pattern. I wanted to make a pansy for the longest time and couldn’t figure it out. They’re the cutest little flowers and when this design finally came together my heart couldn’t take it.

The pansy is a thoughtful little whimsical flower. They’ve always been some of my favorites and their details I can hardly get over. They’re so exquisite and lovely. They come in such a variety of colors from pink, blue and purple to even yellow and orange.

I love giving you flowers you can let your creativity bloom with and just know this one will be loved.

Surprise surprise, you get a bigger reveal at one of the next designs in my collection today - the Water Lily! 🩷

I rarely have this big of a chunk of time to work on things, so very thankful for a chill Saturday where the kids have been happy making bracelets and watching movies and I can pull up to get a lot of work done. šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

Most of my work like this is done in the evenings after the kids are in bed, but with no plans today I decided to dedicate several hours to making some progress!

This pattern is going to be extra special because I was able to create a cute little lily pad to go with it! You’ll still have the option to do the stem for a bouquet, or you can set it or sew it on top of the lily pad. šŸ’š

Two more patterns left to go over, and then I can move onto the next stage which is taking all my pattern photos! šŸ“ø

The DREAMIEST custom order bouquet I could have ever asked for. šŸ˜

I haven’t sold my flowers online yet just because I’m usually knee deep in designing some new patterns. But when a friend asked if I could make a bouquet of her family’s birth flowers, I couldn’t resist and was SO excited to bring this to life. 🄰

This bouquet features 6 flowers for 6 beautiful family members…

2 Carnations for January
2 Narcissus for December (I used my mod for the daffodil pattern)
1 Peony for November
1 surprise birth flower for July šŸ˜‰ (the pattern is still in the works for this one, but if you look closely you get a sneak peek at it in this bouquet).

I used all Premier Yarns with the exception of the darker colored carnation which was Bernat Blanket (I forget which color and lost the wrapper šŸ™ˆ). The stems for all of them were made with Premier Yarns & Mama Made Minis | Lindsay McNutt + Aly Dratch Cypress.

This will definitely go down as one of my favorite floral bouquets. 🄹

The Cactus Cushion pattern by Bri | Crochet artist is LIVE! I can’t wait to make a little one with a pink flower to set on my desk. I definitely need a place to store extra tapestry needles when I set them down. šŸ˜…

I made this cactus cushion with Lion Brand Hue & Me in Night Forest and Framboise for the flower. ā¤ļø

If you’re looking for a fun and versatile pattern this one checks both boxes!

These non-negotiable’s were slacking a little over the summer, but now that school has started for us I’m finally back into a good groove. ā˜€ļø

Also the 10pm bedtime varies from 10:00-10:30, but I try to get it as close as I can. šŸ™ƒ I’ve always been one who needs a lot of sleep to function (it’s a struggle and I wish I could be a better person with less) and I’ve found a 10pm(ish)-6am sleep time is the perfect amount.

So my 5 non negotiable’s for this year…

1. Going to bed by 10/10:30pm.
2. Not checking socials first thing in the am
3. Not stressing about the algorithm and perfectly planned out posts
4. Getting movement in every day
5. Keeping my love of crochet and creativity alive, and striving to honor the Lord with every project.

I’m definitely not perfect at these and really just try to keep them 80% of the time if I can. It’s helped to change my mindset around them so when the time comes and I don’t feel like doing it, I know it’s already something I decided not to negotiate with.

I think I would have been better at tackling some of the struggles I had over the last several years if I had started these sooner, but if I added a 6th non-negotiable it would be to show myself lots and lots of grace. Change happens over time in the small steps and choices we make every day, it’s not always big and grand.

So if you’re wanting to make some changes today too, it’s never too late to start. And if you’re trying to stick with the changes you have been making, I’m right there with you and we can do it! šŸ’œ

A few of my favorite bouquets. šŸ’•

I’ve been working behind the scenes on some new patterns šŸ‘€, and a custom flower bouquet for a friend! Balancing projects while getting back into doing school with my kids has been a little bit of a challenge, but I’m trying to complete one or two things a day and slowly reach those goals!

The custom flower bouquet is almost finished, and the new patterns are still taking their sweet time so likely won’t be released until later this fall. šŸ«¶šŸ¼ I am SO excited for you to see these next patterns though because my goodness I’m so excited with how they’re turning out. 🤩 You might even get a sneak peek of a new flower in the custom bouquet I’ll share soon. šŸ˜‰
