As many of you know I have been working for the past 2 years with Iowa legislature to get a bill passed that allows for parental consent of tattooing minors. I am now in communication with several representatives and senators who are willing to work with me. In the meantime I'm looking for two or three of my current clients who I've tattooed, who either were tattooed at a young age outside of a tattoo shop because of course it wasn't allowed and regretted it and had to have it covered later, and/or anyone who would have obtained a tattoo over self-harming if it was allowed. Also if you are underage and you've received a "basement" tattoo, I want your story too. You can't get in trouble, and the person tattooing you can't get in trouble. I'm looking for people who would have been minors during those occasions as well. Basically I will need to interview you and get your stories and then you would possibly take a ride with me to the Capitol building and share your story. If you are willing to do these things and bring and shed some light on your circumstances and the need for parental consent for tattooing of minors I would highly appreciate it.
