Thinking back to the very beginning of my art career, May 2011, my first project was a pencil sketch of my granddaughter, Paige Creswell, when she was 18 months old. Today, this beautiful girl is 18. After the pencil sketch, I painted her in black and white watercolor to train my eye to see values. =)

" I was fortunate to pick up Donna’s business card a while back at an art show.
As the holiday season approached, I thought that this will be the year to contact her for a portrait of our golden retriever, Ginger, to give to my husband, son, and daughter for Christmas.
Right from the first phone call, I knew that I liked Donna. She was extremely warm and interested in learning about Ginger. After many back and forth emails and photos to which Donna responded promptly, the masterpiece arrived and brought tears to everyone’s eyes. It was perfect in every way, from the colors to the pose to Ginger’s expression.
