“LITTLE WOMEN THE MUSICAL”
Opens May 29
at The Costa Mesa Playhouse
For the final production of its 50th season, the Costa Mesa Playhouse presents the acclaimed Broadway musical “Little Women,” with music by Jason Howland, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and book by Allan Knee, playing May 29 through June 28, 2015.
Based on Louisa May Alcott’s semi-autobiographical novel, the musical follows the adventures of the four March sisters — brassy aspiring writer Jo, romantic Meg, pretentious Amy, and kind-hearted Beth — and their beloved mother, Marmee, at home in Concord, Massachusetts, while the family patriarch is away serving in the Civil War.
