It was a 50% fail on this kiln load, thankfully it was all my own items and one family member…family can always remake but when it is a customer that is not always the case. The fail part came in the results of my nephew’s plate, I was really excited to try the new Amaco honey glaze for my bee plates. He did a black underglaze wash and then put the honey over it…honey came out opaque and matt 🤷🏻♀️ wasn’t expecting that, the texture does come through, they have a tortoise so maybe it is now his plate and he will make another😊 the major fail was my poppies 😭 about half stuck to the stilts that I had a gut feeling I should not have used but because I wanted to fill the kiln and get them out I went against that feeling. I’m hoping I can grind them off and at least use them in my own gardens. At least I will have 25 or so to still sell. I will post more picks of Mila’s Birthday plates her friends made later, they all came out great❤️
