JA Studios/Hilltop Recording will be featured a lot in this new substack documenting the reuniting of my band Nothing Simple. In addition to telling our story of over 25 years, we'll be documenting the writing and recording of new music here in the studio. Shout out to strings! I was recently doing a setup on a student's guitar and the brand new pack of strings had a mangled 3rd string. Not sure if it left the factory that way or was damaged by the shipper. Fortunately I had spare packs here and could finish the restringing, but I contacted Ernie Ball about it afterwards and within a week they sent me a complete replacement pack. Gotta appreciate companies that stand behind their product and go over an above!
