FROM THE DIRECTOR'S CHAIR: TO be honest, I was a little nervous about directing adults for the first time (okay, more than a little nervous)...on a very small stage...with actors I've come to know, who have many years experience on stage, whose talent I respect, who are my PEERS who have also become friends. Quite the potentially daunting challenge! But it's become clear that we adults are really just older kids--with all the same dreams and anxieties we had when we were young. And working with this group is proving to be quite a highlight in my lifetime of teaching, guiding and coaching. (And speaking of coaching--thanks to all of you, not only my former forensics competitors but also my fellow coaches. Working with you on all those performances showed me more than you can imagine about focus, physical control, and so very very much more. It all transfers naturally and well to this project in Workshop's intimate setting!) Yep, with this cast and crew, nerves have given way to remembering what it's all about--giving the best of ourselves to our audiences!
