Join us Oct. 1st from 4 to 7PM for the opening of Nate Ely’s captivating photographic exhibit, Cataract City.
“Cataract City, a fitting nickname for Niagara Falls. The term cataract simultaneously refers to crashing water and more commonly to clouded eye sight. Niagara Falls is a landscape of competing vision and myth; natural wonder, utopia, tourism, industrial might, hydroelectric power, environmental waste management, and urban renewal. The history of these competing and conflicting forces has played out across the region so forcefully that their mark is clearly visible to anyone who chooses to look beyond the precipice.” –Nate Ely
This exhibition will be on view until Jan. 23.
