Meadowhawk.

What does it mean? How did it come about? I’m asked this question a lot.

Well… it’s a story, and the name runs deep.

Cliff notes? It’s the species of dragonfly that landed on my arm one minute after I meditated for the first time. So I did what any responsible mother would do, and got it tattooed.

It all came about while I was working closely with an energy reader whom I owe much of this creative path to. At that time, I hadn’t picked up a pencil in years. I was feeling lost but knew I was supposed to do something with my life; being a stay-at-home mom had me feeling isolated after COVID, and I was looking for a direction. She helped me see things. Feel things. And understand that everything in this life is connected. ♾️

My readings are recorded, and they match all that has occurred in my life over the past few years. I hope to overlay the sound of her readings onto video one day and show you how all of this began. Wild.

But for now, we Art. 🎨💃🫶🏼

The concept I’ll keep coming back to ✨

Story:

It all started when my family and I were taking our first big trip abroad.

I was thinking about traveling and how I could leave my mark on different areas of the world.

I have always been fascinated with ceramics and its indestructibility — did you know that some of the world’s oldest pottery is over 20,000 years old?

One week before our flight I decided to make “Travel Tiles” to throw in the ocean. Each one was stamped with my Meadowhawk dragonfly logo. The idea was that they would be found thousands of years from now. Don’t worry, both clay and glazes are made from natural materials.

While traveling on the Amalfi Coast, I made it my mission to ride a chairlift up to the top of the island of Capri, and hide one of my tiles there.

We were running late for our ferry that morning, and I accidentally left the tile in our hotel room.

I cried.

We drove back to the hotel to get the tile, and missed our ferry.

I am happy to say that we got the last ferry of the day, and my tile was successfully thrown onto the island.
So far, I have hidden tiles in the following locations:

📍 Riviera Maya, Mexico
📍 Ravello, Italy
📍 Capri, Italy
📍 Amalfi, Italy
📍 Positano, Italy
📍Jay, VT

I then started to think about ways to spread this idea far and wide.

What if I created thousands of tiles to throw all over the world, to be found in the future?

And so the Wish Project was born.

I made the wish tiles smaller, so they could be carried easily and wished upon like a coin.

Use your wish tiles to help manifest your dreams.

My dream is to have them wash up on shores all over the world, and in thousands of years come back together to form a mosaic representing my life.

How will you leave your mark on this planet?

It is hard to explain what happens inside this door. It’s a vision.

I am at a loss for words trying to thank the Beyond Walls team for coming into my life with timing that truly feels like divine alignment. They so selflessly handed me an opportunity I would have never found on my own— to learn under celsoart ; an established artist in the mosaic medium for two full weeks.

This organization is run with the intention of lifting each other up, opening doors, and empowering youth to take pride in their city; and I feel incredibly lucky to have witnessed Classroom to the Streets this year. The Lynn community is full of amazing souls and I hope some of you will visit the city and see what this organization is building.

Thank you to everyone I crossed paths with during this process. I leave this project feeling inspired, hopeful, and ready to bring more art into the world.

So grateful to be watching all of this happen. ✨ celsoart gave Chino’s owner a tile to carve his name into.

Tired, and bittersweet there’s only one more day.
