Today's the day! We open our 23rd season with the award-winning Weary Ramblers! Winners of the 2025 Iowa Blues Challenge, Winners of the 2026 International Blues Challenge, and recipients of countless other awards and accolades, it's going to be a spectacular night of music and storytelling with this wildly popular duo. Don't miss this one!
7:00 p.m., Roosevelt Park, 9th and Roosevelt, in Ames. Our concerts are free and everyone is welcome; donations to keep the music playing are gratefully accepted. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket, bring your friends, and we'll see you at the park!
We'll be monitoring the weather forecast and if a change of venue is called for, look for an announcement here on Facebook by 5:30; we'll post a sign at the southeast corner of the park as weather allows. Our weather location is The Annex, at 130 South Sheldon, in Ames. There's plenty of parking and the building is handicap accessible; unfortunately, the restrooms are not. You're encouraged to bring your own chairs. Dogs are not allowed in The Annex unless they are service animals. Please be prepared for warm temperatures in The Annex. SRO conditions are possible.
KHOI Community Radio will be broadcasting select concerts live throughout our season. You can find them online or at 89.1 FM. Thank you, KHOI, for partnering with us again this year!
313 Bar and Lounge will be serving up Detroit-style soul food and Diego's Paletas will be bringing cool sweet treats. Both vendors will be at the park for most of the concert season. Good music, good eats!
Before you head out to the park:
--Roosevelt Park is alcohol and tobacco/vaping free. No other age-restricted products are allowed at the concerts.
--Dogs are welcome but must be on leash and under owner control at all times. Don't forget to pick up after your pup as the need arises.
--The Roosevelt Condos west of the park are on private property; the western boundary is marked by signs. Please do not enter the grounds of The Roosevelt.
--Our weather location, The Annex, is located at 130 South Sheldon in Ames. Should a change of venue be necessary, an announcement will be posted to our page by 5:30 p.m. on concert day.
