Ames Main Street (AMS) is the organization servicing the downtown Ames community and economic development group and its mission is to advance and promote downtown Ames as the destination district in the heart of the community. AMS is a certified Main Street Community and follows the four point economic approach prescribed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. AMS is an investor based organization, open to anyone in the community that would like to support its development and enjoy its benefits.

We had a blast hosting the adults for Witches Walk last week and we are just as excited to welcome the little ones to participate in our annual Downtown Trick or Treat on October 30 from 10am - 1pm!

While you're at it, save the date for citywide Trick-or-Treating later that evening from 5:30-7:30.

There will be no shortage of candy and fun in Ames on October 30!

You were not messing around when it came to those Witches Walk tumblers! Thank you Della Viti - Ames for making them possible!

All 300 were up for grabs, and people started lining up at 5:15 PM. Now THAT’S a highly coveted tumbler!

Thank you for showing up, dressing the part, and having so much fun with us all night.

Witches Walk is TOMORROW!! We are so excited to hand out tumblers to the first 300 who show up at Tom Evans Park starting at 6 pm!
One detail we want everyone to understand as we activate the Sip and Stroll Social District for the first time in Ames: These tumblers are intended to be used at home. They are NOT an approved container to be used while you're sipping and strolling at the event.
We'd love to hear from you with a quick "yes!" or "got it" in the comments!
