Happy BINGO THURSDAY!!! Looks like we might get a little more rain today, a perfect day to spend a few hours with us tonight. We would like to invite you to join us at the VFW Post 7929 Amery WI this afternoon for an exciting mix of 15 games, then finish the night with our Coverall game, which has a Progressive Jackpot. Our doors open at 4:00pm, We will be ready to serve you up some delicious Heggie's Pizza or Cheesy Bread with a nice cold beverage (Beer. Wine, and soda pop.) If pizza is not your thing, we also have all beef hot dogs. We also have DQ Dilly Bars, and plenty of other snacks while you play. We always have fresh and now FREE popcorn!!! Our first game starts at 6:30 pm. We have a wonderful variety Meat Sticks Pack to Raffle, and the Auxiliary has a 50/50 Raffle. The proceeds from these raffles fund our Scholarship programs. We welcome and encourage new players all the time. Give it a try, this is good entertainment for all. Remember that "Happiness is yelling B-I-N-G-O!!!" It is the first Thursday of the month so we will be hosting our monthly Pie Raffle to support the Warrior Bonfire Program. That will start at 5:30pm. Come early and enjoy the fun and deliciousness. If you are visiting or a resident on Wapogasset Lake, Amery, WI, come in for some fun.

As a reminder, since Commander Dave is now Cancer Free 💪😁and back to work, we will be having Karaoke every other week. We hope to see you next Saturday, August 29th for a great night of music and fun.

On August 11th, 1946, the VFW Post 7929 Amery WI was Nationally Chartered. That's right, for 80 years, we have been serving and assisting veterans in need, and family members of veterans. Our organization provides a neutral environment for veterans to gather to be amongst their brothers and sisters who have served in a combat zone. Our mission also includes having a community outreach through programs like Patriots Pen and Voice of Democracy for the Middle and High School students. We promote patriotism by providing Color Guard details for many parades and provide Military Honors for veterans that have passed away. We also have community events like our Memorial Day parade and program, and our annual Flag Retirement Program. As a non-profit 501c (19), which is a classification for Nationally Chartered Veterans Organizations, we can continue to exist through our growing membership and the wonderful support from our community, which include our Thursday Night Bingo, our Karaoke Night every other Saturday, Raffles, and special fundraising events. REMINDER: We will be holding our monthly membership meeting tonight, Monday August 10th, 2026, at 7pm at the VFW Post 7929 Amery WI. If you are a Combat Veteran, and not already a member, and you would like to join an organization that helps veterans in need, fosters Patriotism, and hosts community events, stop in and bring you DD214 for eligibility. We had two new members join last month, let's keep going.
