It is time to start thinking about the 2026 Grinch Grand Prix!!!

We are less than 60 days away from the 26th Annual edition!!! Mykael Amos will be designing and building the layout for this years event. So make plans to come be a part of one of the longest running, RC race traditions in this region! Practice will be Friday December 4th, followed by The Grinch Grand Prix on Saturday December 5th, 2026!!

Podium pics from last nights club race! Thank you for coming out to race. We really appreciate everyone showing up to enjoy the RC racing hobby! We are very lucky to have people consistently drive 2-4 hours each way to come race with us, even for a regular club race! Thank you!!! We hope everyone enjoyed a little extra track time yesterday! We hope you all had a great time at the track and safe travels back home!!

Another long evening of track work is complete! Track will open at 2pm for open practice. We will try to get a race program going as close to 6pm as possible with the substitute race director. That extra hour will allow for time to figure the scoring system out as we go! Should be a lot of fun and the forecast looks like we will have a great day to be at the RC track!!!

Track work is well under way to get all the rain damage repaired! It is shaping up nicely and looks like the track will be in great shape this weekend.

Also for those that are interested. We have someone that is willing to try to fill in as race director for Saturday night. So open practice is still from 2pm-6pm. Then we will try to have a club race for those willing to be patient enough for someone to learn the system on the fly. We will try to start the race program as close to 6pm as possible so that we have time it figure out as we go.

Schedule change for Saturday October 10th. We were not able to find a race director for the scheduled race. We have asked everyone we know in the area who has done it in the past. Still no luck. SO, rather than cancelling we are going to open the track from 2-6pm for open practice. Last chance for track time before the series race in White Rock, NM. Also, it won’t be long before we will be doing the rebuild for the 2026 GRINCH GRAND PRIX!! More news on that coming soon!!

Track condition update. We have had several ask how the track is looking after the recent rains. We had almost all the water drained off the track within 24 hours of the storm. However it is still muddy due to mostly cloudy conditions and the cooler temperatures. We will start getting the track back in shape as soon as it dries out a little more. Considering on Sept 1st we had just about 5 inches of total rain for the year and now we are just about 12 inches of rain for the year. The track has held up quite well. We will do our best to have an open track day before everyone heads over to White Rock for the last Tex-Mex series race. We will have either a race or at least an open practice day. We will keep everyone updated as we know more!

Here are some pics of the track 24 hours after the storm and a pic from when we went out this evening to check to see if we might could race this weekend. Once again, thanks to AW Broadband for helping the local RC community with internet service so we can monitor track conditions at all times! We certainly appreciate it!

Racing this week has officially been rained out! We needed rain and that is why we tried to get as many bonus races in during the off weekends. The track got 1.25 inches of rain yesterday and already added another 1.68 inches of rain today. So it will be a while before it dries out. Enjoy the off weekend and we will try again next weekend!
