September is Classical Music Month! Did you know that there are over 2,200 orchestras in the U.S.? They bring classical music (and more!) to their communities across all fifty states throughout the year.

Dinosaurs, drones, and a little bit of movie magic. 🦕✨

As the Amarillo Symphony celebrates the Don Harrington Discovery Center's 50th anniversary in Amarillo, Texas, at Discover! 5.0, we're bringing John Williams into the mix. Music from Jurassic Park sets the tone for a night celebrating discovery and dinosaurs alike, before the energy ramps up for the festival's big finish.

When Amarillo's largest drone show lights up the sky, the Amarillo Symphony provides the live soundtrack, closing things out with the End Credits from Star Wars for a finale as big as the moment deserves.

50 years of the Discovery Center deserves a big celebration.🎉

On September 5, the Amarillo Symphony joins the Don Harrington Discovery Center in Amarillo, Texas, for Discover! 5.0, celebrating five decades of sparking curiosity across the Panhandle.

Our Music Director George Jackson previews the live orchestra program: high-energy music celebrating Amarillo and America's 250th anniversary, including Michael Daugherty's Route 66, a fitting nod since the Mother Road hits its own 100th anniversary this year.

It's the Amarillo Symphony's first performance at Discover! since 2004, capped off by Amarillo's largest drone show yet.
