Honor of Your Company House Concerts Listen to Paxton's "Honor of Your Company" to understand us. We have great folk singer/songwriters from all over the US and Canada.

We'd love to have the honor of YOUR company as we present house concerts from our home located in the "crown" of Texas. Suggested donation is $15, which all goes to the artist. Bring your own legal comfy items and come for to listen, not to smoke or talk, except at breaks.

I cannot tell you how pleased I am to say that our next gig at the Garage Mahal will be Amarillo's own RANDY PALMER. I cannot believe I had never heard Randy before I did at his "Waterline" CD release party at the Fibinacci a while back (although it is understandable since Randy plays hometown gigs), but I hadn't. And, to understate it, I was completely bowled over. He was so understated, with delicious guitar work, and played just plain beautiful music. So, calendar November 8, Saturday, 7:30 pm, on your calendar. And come prepared to go away with a CD. He'll be playing a lot from it, as well as some other things he's got on hand.Enter through either gate (I say that to not have to worry about attending the front door). I am really proud to have Randy as our first local musician gig (but it won't be the last.) I'm very excited about this show and I hope to see you there!

Oops. Lil Rev is in February. Meanwhile . . .
We've got TIA McGRAFF and TOMMY PARHAM at the Garage Mahal on Monday evening, October 6, with music beginning at 7pm. They will do a one set show so you can be home in plenty of time for bed. And, of course, still LIL REV on Valentine's Day, 2015. He's also going to do a beginner's harmonica workshop the following (Sunday) afternoon, which will be great. But please reserve early, so we can plan accordingly. $20 each. Gotta have 20 people.

Thanks to all who came out to see the great Hans York. I know you enjoyed it, because many of you told me.
NEXT UP: LIL REV !!! Lil Rev is the most popular performer in the history of this concert venue. He mostly plays Ukulele, but also sometimes picks up his guitar and/or harmonica. He will be at the Garage Mahal on Valentines Day, Saturday, February 14, 2015. Music will begin at 7:30 pm. I cannot emphasize how enjoyable his concerts are.
THEN . . .
on Sunday, February 16, Lil Rev will put on a "Harmonica for the Beginner" workshop, probably at 2:00 pm. It will cost $20 a person and will last 90 minutes. (At least 20 people will be required to make this work, so it will require advance reservations. Please PM me to reserve a seat.) He will have harmonicas for sale, and will teach hand, pipe and mouth positions, simple scale, basic folk songs, blues riffed, train sounds, and much more! AND if you don't learn to play you get your money back!

August 8 is going to be a special day at the GARAGE MAHAL. BIG WIDE GRiN will be performing, beginning at 7:30 pm. This is the first time I have broken my sabbatical for any performer, so you know how special an event I know it will be. Bring what you will, drinks, hot dogs, snacks, kids, lawn chairs, etc. It might be held in the park, so sun umbrellas might also be in order. But, this is a show NOT TO MISS. They have performed at the Garage Mahal twice, both of them sell outs, so you know how good - and how popular - they are. (spoiler; Lawrence cannot be at this gig, but his sit-in is Tom Prasada-Rao, who is fantastic!) We'll be at 2900 S. Polk, across from (or in?) Oliver-Eakle Park. Come early and visit before the music. It will be a ball, y'all!!

August 8 is gonna be a great day at the GARAGE MAHAL in Amarillo! BIG WIDE GRiN will be performing. Music starts at 7:30, but come early. Not to be missed, BWG has performed twice for us, always sellouts. They are among my very favorite performers, so don't miss it. Bring soft drinks, wine, hot dogs, kids, etc. - maybe lawn chairs, for we may hold this gig in the park, depending on the weather. Either way this is a show not to be missed. (spoiler: Lawrence cannot appear at this gig, but Tom Presada-Rao will be fantastic in his place.) AUGUST 8 will be a great day for a BIG WIDE GRiN. BWG will be at the Garage Mahal, 2900 S. Polk, Amarillo, with music to begin at 7:30. This is the first time I have interrupted my sabbatical for any musician, so you know I think it will be a VERY special evening. Bring snacks, drinks, sun umbrellas, lawn chairs, kids, etc. (We may hold it in Oliver-Eakle Park, or in the GM itself, depending on things.) Whatever, I give you my highest recommendation - even those in Guymon or Lipscomb! - that you come for this show. It will be a great one. (spoiler; Lawrence cannot be at this gig, but his sit in, Tom Prasada-Rao, is fantastic!) Please share this post (as my email list bit the dust, I'm sorry to say). Hope to see everybody there!!

Thanks to all who came to the last Honor of Your Company house concert, with Bryan Bowers, last night. We had a GREAT last gig, didn't we? Andy's opening, then Bryan's one long set - what a night, huh? And the hot dawgs - OMG, to die for, huh? (Well, maybe not!) But, it was a great evening for all and Bryan appreciated and enjoyed it very, very much. As did I. Glad every one of you participated. A fun time. We'll have to repeat it someday!

Today's the day for the Honor of Your Company "Au Revoir" Party, with BRYAN BOWERS. Come by and let's have a last hurrah! I'll have hot dogs going at 6:30 and Bryan will start at 7:00 pm. You should NOT miss this opportunity to meet America's acknowledged grand master of the autoharp!! He'll be at the Garage Mahal, 2900 Polk, in Amarillo. I REALLY hope to see everyone tonight!
