We have a couple of member show going on and coming up.

We also have our May 16th meeting this Saturday at Arts in the Sunset from 1pm to 3pm. Can't believe how much time has flown by. We need officers, New demo's, and so forth. Help us plan what you want our of the club and for the year.

Show is at 806 Coffee on 6th street.

Terry Pedigo will be at this show.

This month's theme at Arts in the Sunset is Somethin' Sketchy deadline for turn in is May 29th.

If you have a show please let an officer know, so we can support each other, and also to be able to see some new art.

Richela's pastel classes are now open for registration at the Amarillo Art Institute, https://www.artsinthesunset.org beginning May 22, 2026. Classes are designed to cover the fundamentals of using pastels. We will focus on the uses of pastels, color, various techniques, creating small color studies, and larger works. Download the supply list.

A 1-day workshop will be offered at The Art Center in Dumas on June 27. This will be a "paint-along" with all Art supplies furnished.

"Having Fun With Pastels" workshop will be held at Arts in the Sunset on Friday, April 17, starting at 10:00.

It's open to beginners as well as artists who would like to learn more about using pastels to create beautiful, bright art.

We'll have a lot of fun with mark-making, learning how to choose a good design, creating color studies, and completing a pastel painting.

Our 2026 Brilliance show was a great success! Here are our winners, and the show will be on display through the March First Friday. Congratulations to our winners and see you again next year!

LSPS just wrapped up the workshop today. Thank you to everyone who came.

LSPS could not have a successful show and workshop this year without some help.

Thank you to all of the LSPS Members and Officers who have helped with organizing the show and workshop, taking in entries, gathering donations, and most important creating artwork for the beautiful show this year.

Thank you to Arts in the Sunset for letting LSPS host the 2026 Brilliance of Pastels Show and Workshop this year. Thank you for giving us a home to have meetings, and shows.

ABC Blueprints has been extremely helpful with all of the printing for LSPS all of last year and this year. ABC Blueprints has been a family owned business since 1952, and ABC Blueprints has the only Flat-bed Fine Art Scanner in the Panhandle area. Rise Up Art Co is a local art supply and tattoo studio. They had a vision of making art and tattoo's under 1 roof. From spray paint, mops, markers, brushes, artwork, and tattoos. Member Turn in $15.00 per piece or $50.00 for 4 pieces

Non-Member Turn In $20.00 per piece or $75.00 for 4 pieces.
