Today is exactly three months until Christmas Day. Time moves quickly. Today I took angels and crosses (and one ornament) to the Top of Texas Catholic Superstore. If you're going north on Coulter, the last light before I40 takes you to Westgate Mall. Take that street and there on your right in the strip mall is the "store." Please take a moment to step inside and shop In the Clay. Thank you kindly.

In the past I have sold my pottery pieces on Route 66 (6th Street) at Sonya’s. And, before Sunset Center was revamped into what it is today I had my personal gallery where I sold my pottery and my framed or canvas-wrapped photos.

At both locations, I had been able to obtain addresses from each customer and write a thank you note. That has been important to me because each customer has spent their money with me by purchasing my handmade pottery or photography and I’ve always wanted to acknowledge that I’m grateful.

I no longer have that ability at the two locations I’m at right now, so this post is to thank anyone who has ever bought my pieces. Just know that I am truly grateful and honored and I appreciate you. 

AT THE SLAB ROLLER Leona has put about four pounds of clay through a slab roller. The thickness of the space under the roller has been adjusted and the clay is placed between two pieces of canvas before she manually rolls it.

Guess what tomorrow is? Yes, May 1 . . . May Day, First Friday Art Walk (5-9 pm). Visit Owl Works Gift Shop at Arts in the Sunset. Come any time 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. I have 10 new pieces there. Plus, May 10 . . . Mother's Day.

Maybe Mom (or someone else) needs a flower vase, or a pencil/pen holder (use imagination), or just a little gnome to brighten their day . . . for no reason at all. Reasonably priced. Shop local. Shop often.
