The Amargosa Improvement Association (A.V.I.A) was formed in 1965. AVIA has sponsored Amargosa Racing Association (A.R.A) the sand drag races. It was known that races got bigger and better, people came from all over the West to participate.

Just a heads up, the Amargosa Racing Association - ARA will have a new page come January
It will be for our ARA & AVIA Amargosa valley improvement association & Amargosa racing association.
We will post new page on here sometime in January so keep an eye out !!!

Don't forget about the clothing drive event this Saturday!! The Library will be having some crafts and the fire department will be handing out some smoke detectors!!
Stop by and grab some warm clothes for you and your family ( while supplies last)

Colder weather is apon us....
This year the AVIA/ARA will be partnering up with the Amargosa library and the Amargosa volunteer fire department and will be have a winter clothing drive.
We are looking to see if we can get people to donate clothes, beanies, gloves and bedding to help those in need.
We will start collecting these items on Monday. The drop off locations will be at the Library, fire department and the senior center.
We will hold an event on December 9th from 2pm-6pm for anyone who needs to stop by and pick up some warm clothes and blankets (while supplies last)
We will also have small crafts and activities set up for families to participate in. The fire department will be giving out smoke detectors ( while supplies last)
