🎓 Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Effie Hennesy
Congratulations to CAP Theatre Scholarship Recipient Effie Hennesy!

A graduating senior from Bondurant-Farrar High School, Effie has contributed both on stage and behind the scenes at CAP Theatre, serving in leadership roles including Student Director and Assistant Costumer. This fall, she will attend the University of Northern Iowa to study Education with a minor in Theatre.

Join us in celebrating Effie and all of our graduating seniors on Friday, June 26 at 6:00 PM at CAP Theatre. The event is free and open to the public. Free-will donations benefiting the CAP Theatre Scholarship Fund are encouraged.

Alice spent her adventure asking the same questions so many of us ask ourselves:

"Who am I? Where do I belong?"

She may not always fit the mold. She may feel too big, too small, too different, or completely lost at times. But in the end, Alice discovers that the very things that make her different are what make her extraordinary.

Learn the techniques actors use to tackle long speeches, monologues, and songs with confidence. Discover how breathing, pacing, and phrasing can transform your performance from good to unforgettable.

Sometimes the difference between a good performance and a great one is simply knowing when to breathe.

Special Guest Instructor: Jeff Clothier
As a featured participant in the highly acclaimed Des Moines Storytellers Project, Jeff knows how to keep an audience hanging on every word. In this workshop, he'll share the same breathing and storytelling techniques that help performers command the stage with confidence.
