What has surprised you most while working on your role or what you are excited about in your role in this production?
"How incredibly kind and wonderful all the cast and crew are!"

What makes this script relevant in 2026? / What moment in the script feels like it could have been written about today?
"Women have been othered for centuries and unfortunately we are turning back the clock on how women and their successes are seen once more. This play highlights the role that women have always played in excelling the clock forward for everyone."

Who is your favorite First Lady? Why are they your favorite?
"Eleanor Roosevelt!!!! I have degrees in international relations and appreciate all of her importance in the field with her help in the Declaration of Human Rights."

If audiences walk away remembering one thing from this show, what do you hope it is?
"I hope people walk away wanting to seek out all of the unseen work that is put in for every aspect of life! Go thank a woman in your life who works tirelessly behind the scenes for family or work!"

Meg has done such a wonderful job bringing her roles in the show to life, and we can't wait for you to see her work finally come to fruition starting TONIGHT!

What has surprised you most while working on your role or what you are excited about in your role in this production?
"I'm very excited to be playing music in a show. This will be my first time doing so."

If you were First Lady/First Gentleman, what cause or project would you champion?
"The importance of the arts in schools to society."

This show is about voices often left out of history. What’s a voice in your own life you think deserves more credit?
"My own. I rarely give myself enough credit. Life hasn't always been easy, but I've still accomplished a lot."

If audiences walk away remembering one thing from this show, what do you hope it is?
"Sometimes the important “players” in a story aren't always the loudest or the easiest to remember."

What makes this script relevant in 2026? / What moment in the script feels like it could have been written about today?
"I believe this script is relevant in 2026 because it centers women’s voices, power, and agency in spaces where they were historically minimized or erased. The moments that explore women navigating public roles while carrying private emotional labor feel especially current — the tension between visibility and invisibility, leadership and limitation. It mirrors modern conversations about representation, autonomy, and the emotional cost of existing in systems not built for women."

What’s one thing you learned about a First Lady that you had no idea about before this show?
"I learned how much political, emotional, and strategic labor First Ladies carried behind the scenes without recognition — influencing decisions, shaping public perception, and holding together private crises while maintaining public composure. Their power often existed informally, but it was still deeply impactful."

What has surprised you most while working on your role or what you are excited about in your role in this production?
"I have many fun roles. I’m really excited to be a raccoon ballerina — it’s a dream come true, really."

What's the weirdest or funniest line from the show that the cast and crew can't stop quoting on set?
"The term “electoral and clitoral” is pretty amazing."

What makes this script relevant in 2026? / What moment in the script feels like it could have been written about today?
"The state of our country is awful and women still don’t get treated fairly."

If you were First Lady/First Gentleman, what cause or project would you champion?
"Free school lunches for every child in America. FEED OUR CHILDREN!"

What's the weirdest or funniest line from the show that the cast and crew can't stop quoting on set?
"Not necessarily a funny or weird line, but while practicing music, a castmate and I decided to re-envision the song as a rap in which my character comes back from the dead to do a little beatboxing. Now every time we run that song, all I can think about is how outlandish that would be and start to laugh."

If you were First Lady/First Gentleman, what cause or project would you champion?
The Equal Rights Amendment.

✨ Who is your favorite First Lady? Why?
Michelle Obama. Despite the endless racist hate that continues to this day, she keeps her head up high and shows grace, love, humor, and dignity.

✨ If you were First Lady/First Gentleman, what cause or project would you champion?
LGBTQIA+ rights. We have always been here and will always be.

✨ If audiences walk away remembering one thing from this show, what do you hope it is?
To never stop looking beyond the public faces — the people hidden behind history are just as important to learn about.
