This year, we’re taking audiences on a gritty, powerful journey down the rails — a high-energy ride fueled by grit, determination, and unstoppable momentum. From the haunting depths of the underworld to the thunder of steel on the tracks, this show will explore what it means to keep pushing forward, no matter what stands in your way.

Expect steam.
Expect grit.
Expect power.

This season, there’s no looking back.

✨Please read for some fun news and a little teaser✨

With the school year wrapping up, we wanted to share that our music teachers and Ashton Schluter have been working on a little project! Starting this fall, the Music Department, along with both our Middle and High School Show Choir teams, will have new logos! 🎉

While we love our current one, we felt that with the increased number of students both in choir and band this upcoming school year (along with an INCREDIBLE number of students interested in show choir 💃🏻🕺) it would be nice to celebrate this exciting change with revamping our logo…….AND….drumroll please 🥁….changing the name of our Middle School Show Choir team, which is currently “In TRAINing” to…..

Sorry, folks, our lips are sealed for a short bit 😁, but to not leave you COMPLETELY hanging, we’re sharing the new department logo to help keep you hanging by the edge of your seat! 😉

We couldn’t be more proud of Miss Buss! 🎉
Her dedication and enthusiasm to our school and most importantly, students, can’t be beat. She is an exceptional human being and even more so, the most incredible teacher. We are so blessed to have her leading our band students to reach their full potential!

❤️🎶 We are extremely proud of Miss Buss, our Grades 6–12 Band Teacher, for recently being named one of two recipients of the “Early Educator Award” from!

This award recognizes area educators within their first three years of teaching who are already making a significant impact in their schools and communities.

This also marks the second year in a row that an Altoona educator has received this honor, as Miss Spaulding, one of our 8th grade ELA teachers, earned the award last year as well!

Congratulations, Miss Buss, on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

🎶🌺 Join us Monday, May 11th for the AMH & AHS Spring Choir Concert!

The concert begins at 7:00 PM in the gym and will feature beautiful music from our talented middle and high school students, along with a special recognition of our graduating seniors.

Our music teachers are incredible women, who inspire magical students. We couldn’t be more grateful for the hard work they put in 24/7! They mentor, encourage, and lift up every child they teach. Not because that is their job, but because they are passionate about the work they do and how it helps our children grow and explore their creativity.

So let’s take a moment to celebrate them and how much they improve the Altoona School District 🖤❤️
