ArtsAltoona is doing some much needed electrical work to make their primary performance space, the Grotto, more functional and efficient. You can support the work by ordering Marianna's hoagies & pizzas. 🍕

For just $10, you can enjoy a delicious hoagie or pizza while helping fund important electrical upgrades in the Grotto at the ArtsAltoona Center.

The Grotto is one of our most active spaces, hosting live music, theater, poetry readings, workshops, youth programs, film screenings, and community events throughout the year. These upgrades will help ensure the space can continue safely supporting lighting, sound, and performance equipment while enhancing the experience for artists and audiences alike.

Our partners at ArtsAltoona have their America250PA Blair County event coming up on Saturday, June 20. Check out the details below and, while you are on their page, check out everything else they have happening!

Two very special free events are coming up at ArtsAltoona on Saturday, June 20th!

At noon, in The Sanctuary, join us for the America 250 Photography Exhibition. Sponsored by ABC Photo Society, Copy-Rite and The Film Center, this exhibit will feature selected photographs from artists across the region. Vote for the fan favorite and enjoy special musical performances throughout the day.

At 7 pm, enjoy a special show in The Grotto, sponsored by The Jeanne Shank-Huber Live Music Foundation. This show will feature The Band Oz, Strings, The Backyard Rockers, and Firewheel. The snack bar will be open with light concessions available for purchase. Adult beverages will also be available by donation for those 21+ with ID.

Some Blair Creators participated in a plein air painting this weekend, and there's a Wet Paint Art Sale in the Sanctuary at the ArtsAltoona Center today until 4pm! Go to see the exhibit, vote for a fan favorite, or purchase a treasure for your home!

Baker Mansion opens for the season on Friday, May 22. Three new exhibits will be available as part of the America250PA Blair County celebration! Put it on your to do list!

🏛️🇺🇸 ONE WEEK TO GO UNTIL OUR AMERICA250 TOUR SEASON BEGINS! 🇺🇸🏛️

Even though it has felt like winter the past few weeks, we are closing in on the start of our 2026 tour season here at the mansion! We are going all in on celebrating our nation's 250th birthday this season, so you better believe that our special events, Visitor Center merch, and guided tours will be themed for the occasion!

Of particular note this year is our lineup of three BRAND-NEW America250PA Blair County exhibits that directly tie into the Semiquincentennial this year. These exhibits are "The Blair County Presidential Hall," "A Contested Country: Blair County's Revolutionary-Era and Native American History," and "Blair County: A People's History." Each represents an important theme within the America250 celebration, and we cannot wait to reveal them all to you soon!

Our opening day will be next Friday, May 22 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and hours this season will be Fridays through Sundays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM as well. Gather some friends, come browse our history, and celebrate this year's momentous anniversary!

A special shoutout to the students from the Sheetz Fellows Program at Penn State Altoona… This festival was the result of two semesters of planning and problem-solving. From early preparation to working tirelessly behind the scenes all day, your commitment brought this event to life!
