🎶💍 Knee-deep in wedding season! 💍🎶

I’ve been hauling this big beautiful instrument from one “I do” to the next, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤍

So bear with me while I flood your feed a little… wedding season is in full swing, birthday parties, concert prep and lessons.

Audition prep is going GREAT… if your definition of “great” is questioning every life choice that led to playing the harp. 😂

Whoever wrote this music was obviously blessed with legs that go on forever and fingers that well obviously don’t have nerve damage from a mountain bike crash (long story)

Meanwhile, the Good Lord looked at me and said, “Let’s make her a harpist… but give her short legs and stubby fingers. It’ll build character.”

Ladies and gentlemen… if this were football, we’d be calling a Hail Mary.

This isn’t just difficult music—it feels like the composer had a personal vendetta against petite harpists.

So I’ll be over here praying to dear Mrs. Lauver and the ghost of Carlos Salzedo to somehow guide these stubby fingers to places they were never designed to reach. If they’re up there looking down, I hope they’re laughing… and maybe pulling a few strings on my behalf.

Will it be elegant? Maybe.
Will it be pretty? Hopefully.
Will it be a miracle? Most definitely.

Back to practicing… because quitting isn’t an option, and apparently neither are longer fingers. 🎶😂

Our gorgeous little Jacey girl (13) is headed off to music camp at IUP for an entire week. 🎶❤️

Now, you’d think her biggest concern would be making friends, practicing music, or surviving cafeteria food. Nope.

Her biggest concern? 😱

“Mom… they’re taking our phones! How am I supposed to tune my cello?!”

Fear not, sweet child. Your mother comes from a distant and ancient time before cell phones. I shall introduce you to an old- school electronic tuner… a device only slightly more modern than a tuning fork and viewed by today’s teenagers much like an archaeological artifact. 😂🎻🎶
