If you enjoyed Part 1, I think you're going to love the 2nd half even more! I'm especially proud of these later hours, as they're full of unexpectedness and wickedly fun remixes of different styles and genres, with brand-new mixes from artists like Kansas and Jim Croce, and yacht rock hits keep coming too (Ambrosia, Ace, Kenny Loggins are a few). As the night went later, I slipped in some especially trippy mixes from Three Dog Night, the Beatles (several songs!), The Police and even Chuck Berry! More disco and rock favorites are in here too! I think this entire show fully captured the spirit of the 70s in all of its musical tastes and colors, and Part 2 magnifies them even more!

So fun and popular the first time, it's back again and will likely be another annual decades special in the Saturday Night Mixtacy universe- the 2nd Annual 70s Spectacular! All the pop, rock, disco and yacht rock you can handle, most of it as premiere mixes and as with all Mixtacy shows and decade specials, COMPLETELY different from the 1st one. And this one is even bigger than last time- over 8 hours of 70s (and a few sprinkled in from earlier than that) for the ultimate retro dance party. You'll also hear a healthy dose of brand-new yacht rock mixes throughout along with other songs you wouldn't expect to hear in a mix, which is the most fun part for me of the 70s Spectacular!

This show took place hours before the Summer Solstice (which took place at just after 3AM CT), and while we didn't go late enough to ring it in officially, it was an extended show full of premiere mixes of the moment and the past, with some summertime hits of the past too! And there was not just 1, but *2* DJ CJ Medleys in tonight's show- a "Creatures of Summer" medley in hour 2 and a "Bam Bam" Medley in hour 3 in this 4+ hour EXTENDED show.
