It’s finally here! Altered State’s debut full length album Ink is now on all DSP’s!

This was an extremely fun one to work on. We recorded this album similar to how Nirvana recorded In Utero (microphones all around the room) and aimed to produce, mix, and master this to be more similar to Nevermind (polished and radio ready) all while keeping the human element and realism in the performances.

So if you like old school grunge like Nirvana, Silverchair, and other similar bands you definitely need to check this one out. The band and I put a ton of work into making this the best that it could possibly be and we couldn’t be more proud of it.

Congratulations to Filmmaker Mark Frederick and the rest of the team! And special additional congrats to Mark on the win for the directing category.

I am thrilled to share that our feature documentary, "Blair County: A People's History" was awarded two Telly Awards! It won Bronze in "Film & Shorts - Documentary" and Silver in the "Craft - Directing." Congratulations to my fellow winners and the team that made this project with me, specifically Jared Frederick, Julia Plummer Schokker, Mark Stitzer, and Sam Smith with Hidden Gem Studios! Abstentious was in today and we made use of the reverb/drum room for some acoustic guitar recordings. Unsurprisingly, we got some really great results!
