Congratulations to Filmmaker Mark Frederick and the rest of the team! And special additional congrats to Mark on the win for the directing category.

I am thrilled to share that our feature documentary, "Blair County: A People's History" was awarded two Telly Awards! It won Bronze in "Film & Shorts - Documentary" and Silver in the "Craft - Directing." Congratulations to my fellow winners and the team that made this project with me, specifically Jared Frederick, Julia Plummer Schokker, Mark Stitzer, and Sam Smith with Hidden Gem Studios! The film is now streaming on PBS and HistoryFix. DVDs are available for purchase via the Blair County Historical Society at www.blairhistory.org. Support them by buying a copy!

Abstentious was in today and we made use of the reverb/drum room for some acoustic guitar recordings. Unsurprisingly, we got some really great results!

Another recent release that was made here at the studio it’s 2ana with Passport! It’s not uncommon for one of his tracks to go from first take to finished mix in less than an hour. Dude is on point!

With the third full length album to be recorded at Hidden Gem Studios we have Closure by Zoe!

Zoe had all the instrumentals prepared ahead of time and just had the vocals to record, which she did all in one day like it was nothing.

This album is heavy on storytelling and it flows so cohesively it’s easy to get lost in it and listen to it front to back like a book that you can’t put down.

Abstentious has some new stuff on the DSP’s today!

These are the first pop-punk songs recorded, mixed, and mastered at the studio and these guys really made that process easy. Well-written songs and killer performances made shaping these songs into what they are a super painless experience.
