’ve decided to add some small 2 day art camps this summer at my house! The camps will be outside but still enclosed! I miss making art and memories with the kiddos.

If you know me you know I love growing wild flowers and all sorts of flowers! Other than photography I began to explore other ways of flower preservation. Pressing flowers has become one of my favorite ways. In this class we will be making (unique to each student) flower presses, learning how to press various flowers, and how to make beautiful pieces of art with the flowers/leaves once they’re pressed and dried.

The first camp will be Monday July 7th and Tuesday July 8th

We will be making 8x10 wood Travel/Flower Presses!!

Monday: 9-12
The students will get to choose between painting or wood burning their press. We will then assemble the presses. I will supply all the cardboard and flower pressing paper.

Tuesday: 9-12
I will teach the students how to press different types of flowers, leaves. We will start to fill their presses!! I will then teach them different examples of how to make beautiful art with their beautiful treasures! I have a surplus of pressed flowers that we will work with.
I’ll show them how to use resin, decoupage and frame the flowers. The students will then get to make a small piece of art out of the hundreds of beautiful flowers I have pressed!

The cost of this class is 70.00 and must be paid when signing up. This class is very limited due to space. I will provide drinks and snacks, please let me know if your child has any food allergies.

We’ve been so busy this week! So busy that I didn’t get to take many pictures. I’m excited for our art show tomorrow!! Here are some pics I did get to take! Grouting the mosaics was tedious for everyone and I feel confident none of them will want to tile in the future! Their comments had me giggling all morning Wednesday!! I know they’re all very eager to show off their work!! As always Thank you for entrusting me with your children to teach them! I always feel blessed! ❤️ Heather

Even though they are calling for rain tomorrow we are going to go ahead with the pool party/art show. 12-4 if you’d like to contribute a snack like cookies, fruit, drink pouches you may. I will be supplying pizza and bottled water. We all worked way to hard to not have our art show!
We will have our final lesson in the morning per usual and set up our art and be ready to show off by 12!

It was a great first day of Art Camp 2023 despite the much needed rain! In all of the years I have been doing this camp this is the first time it has rained during a whole class. Excited for tomorrow, the sunshine and painting our 🍄!!

Good Morning All!!
I was asked about another older kid art camp for this summer. I originally opened this up for the people who asked and there are still spaces to fill.

This will be a small camp 6 maximum.
I have 4 spots left.

I’ve decided since we did large paintings last summer that this summer I’d teach them more in depth wood burning. Wood burning is very therapeutic and with this skill they can create whatever they’d like for the rest of their lives.
It’s a great stress relief and a great way to get them to put down their phones, turn off the tv and be creative.
I will be teaching them how to use the different tips that go on the wood burners with a series of small wood burnings to start the week off. They’ll be able to pick a large image (each their own) they’d like to burn 11x14 and I will teach them how to transfer the image and how to create a realistic wood burning. I will be working with them step by step through out the process.
The kids will also be keeping their wood burner kits so they can keep making and sharing their talents!!

This camp will be held the week of July 17-21
9-12 at the same location as my other camps.

The age of this camp is 12 and up. (Unless I’ve worked with your child before and know they’re capable and responsible to you use wood burners)

The cost of this camp is 150.00 and must be paid upon signing up.

We’re going to start on Monday with these awesome moons cut from log slices! I just love these! By the end of the week they’ll be able to make you any custom art/signs you’d like!
