Tanya Johnson, age 53, departed this life on Tuesday August 18, 2026 at her home. She was born December 6, 1972 in Alton. Illinois. She was the daughter to the late Robert Dorsey Sr. and Ada (Watkins) Johnson.

Tanya received her education in the Alton School System. She spent her years in the workforce being a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Tanya was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Shirley Terry, Lakiesha Dorsey, Ramona Johnson and brothers Melvoid Jones and Robert Dorsey Jr. Son-in-law Emil Somersall and nephew Marlon Johnson. She leaves to cherish precious memories, two daughters Erica Burnett Somersall and Ciara Ammons and a son Donald Hodge III. Three grandchildren Twon Everage, Aryian and Antonio Johnson. Six sisters Lynda (David) Wigfall, Loleatha (Vincent) Rodgers, Felesha Freeman, Sandra Covington, Donna(Terry) Taylor-McKinney and Tracy Taylor. Two brothers Earl (Ann) Jones and Donald Taylor. Favorite aunt Debra Ann Houston. Host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cremation rites were accorded.
