Unlike any other stage-destination nearby, we offer standout experiences with the convenience of a small town. Set on a wide-open grassy lawn and surrounded by historic architecture, our 4,000-seat outdoor grounds is just a short walk from charming shops and unique restaurants and a quick drive from St. Louis, making it perfect for a day trip or an evening out. The Alton Amphitheater is operated by the Alton Parks and Recreation department and managed by a 7-person volunteer Commission. THIS WEEKEND: Porch Cafe Music Festival in Honor of Bud Summers

Join us this Sunday, October 11, from 1–5 PM at the Alton Amphitheater for an afternoon of live music celebrating the life and legacy of Bud Summers.

Enjoy classic rock and folk favorites from a talented lineup of local performers, along with craft vendors, food trucks, and local favorites including Jewel Ice Cream, Taqueria Los Toros, and Klausti’s.

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, invite your friends and family, and come out to support our local music community for a great afternoon on the riverfront!

The September Sunset Series is wrapping up this Friday with a night of live country music, great food, drinks, and riverfront views at the Alton Amphitheater!

Borderline takes the stage from 6-9 pm and food will be available from Pig on a Wing and Jewel Ice Cream, with b**r, Carbliss, and other alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF THE MISSISSIPPI EARTHTONES FESTIVAL!

This weekend, Downtown Alton comes alive for the 20th Annual Mississippi Earthtones Festival. Come check out this amazing FREE, family-friendly celebration of the Mississippi River through art, music, conservation, and community.

The festival is on Saturday, September 19 from NOON–10 PM with full day of fun featuring:
• 100+ artist, environmental, and educational booths
• Interactive art experiences and family activities
• Local food and beverages
• Live music all day and into the evening
• Confluence Conservation Awards
• And so much more!

The September Sunset Series continues THIS FRIDAY at the Alton Amphitheater from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM! Join us for a stunning autumn sunset and high-energy live music from ARAGON.

ARAGON is a four-piece teen hard rock band based in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Made up of musicians ages 16 and 17, the group has built a reputation across local Missouri and Illinois music scenes for bringing heavy, high-energy stage performances to classic and modern rock.

Bring a chair or blanket, pack a picnic, or grab dinner from our onsite food vendors Rolling Dogs and Jewel Ice Cream.

Time: 6 PM – 9 PM
Cost: FREE & open to the public
Food: Rolling Dogs & Jewel Ice Cream onsite (outside food & non-alcoholic beverages are welcome!)
