· Backpacks and coolers are subject to inspection
· NO Pets (except service dogs)
· NO bicycles, skateboards, or scooters
· NO firearms or weapons
· NO alcoholic beverages brought to fairgrounds or parking lot

In just 60 days, the midway lights will be glowing.

The smell of fried dough will be in the air.

Blue ribbons will be hanging in the exhibit halls.

Kids will be meeting animals, winning giant stuffed prizes, and making memories they'll talk about long after summer ends.

One of the Altamont Fair's biggest ticket events is getting even bigger.

For the first time ever, our Flash Sale is expanding from a single 10-hour event to FOUR FULL DAYS!

📅 July 1–4, 2026

We're announcing the dates early so you can mark your calendar now and start planning ahead. If you've participated in our Flash Sale before, be sure to take note—this year's sale will look a little different!

We're halfway through our first-ever virtual Porter Challenge, and we're excited to share some progress!

✅ 39 walkers have joined the virtual challenge (and 23 more in person)
✅ 9 online participants have already qualified for the prize drawings (and more are days away!)
✅ Thousands of steps have been logged in honor of Porter

But here's the good news...

There are still 14 days left to participate!

If you've been thinking about joining, there's still plenty of time to get moving and work toward the 200,000-step goal needed to enter our prize drawings.

We're currently accepting applications for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for the 2026 Altamont Fair.

✅ Must be 18 years or older
✅ Current New York State EMT certification required
✅ Current CPR certification required

Applications are now open for the 2026 Miss Altamont Fair Pageant!

The Miss Altamont Fair Pageant is about much more than a crown. It's an opportunity to build confidence, develop leadership and public speaking skills, serve your community, and become a positive representative of the Altamont Fair and the Capital Region. ✨

With divisions for ages 5 through adult, there is a place for participants of all ages to get involved. Whether you're stepping onto a stage for the first time or looking for a new way to grow and serve your community, we'd love to meet you.

Throughout the year, contestants and titleholders have opportunities to participate in community events, represent the fair, and make meaningful connections across Albany, Schenectady, and Greene Counties.

📅 Applications are due August 7
📍 Open to residents of Albany, Schenectady, and Greene Counties
