“But I eat healthy and work out…so why isn't the scale moving?” 👀
If you've been asking yourself this question, don't immediately assume you're doing everything wrong.
Instead, look at the big picture.
Here are 3 things I'd check:
🥑 1. Are your portions matching your goal?
Healthy foods are nutritious, but they still contain calories. Oils, dressings, nuts, avocado, snacks, and larger portions can add up quickly.
🍕 2. What does your ENTIRE week look like?
Don't judge your progress based on Monday–Friday. Your overall weekly habits matter. A very restrictive weekday followed by a high-calorie weekend can make it harder to maintain the deficit needed for weight loss.
🚶🏽♀️ 3. How active are you OUTSIDE the gym?
Your workout matters, but so does everything you do the other 23 hours of the day. Walking, steps, stairs, and simply moving more can contribute significantly to your overall activity.
And remember:
Eating healthy is important.
Working out is important.
But consistency with the overall plan is what brings it together. 🎯
You don't need to be perfect.
You need to understand what you're doing, make adjustments when necessary, and stay consistent long enough to see what works.
