One door closes and another opens.
We are completely moved out of the old location and into the new. It was an extremely intense month of moving. 11 years of building up a space to meet our needs tied us into that location pretty tight so the move was incredibly demanding on everyone involved. BIG, BIG THANKS to you all for that!
We are wooorn out. I’ll spare you the list of injures Wendi and I have gotten through the process but it’s clear we need to let our bodies heal for a few days before we get into the next phase of gutting out the rest of the old shelving at the new location and renovating to meet the new design.
We will not have new comic book Drop Day this week. We will do it next week and have two weeks in a row at the new location in a temporary point of sale set up since the retail will not be ready for regular operations.

We will be open Saturday August 29th. 11-3 at the old location for Pull Members to pick up their books. This is the last day we will have the doors open at this location. We are almost completely moved out.

Open today from 11-3 for Pull Members to pick up their books. The retail door is locked so please come in the restaurant side, we have a temporary POS area set up.
Progress update.
All glass cabinets are now out of the old store and in the new one. That was one of my bigger concerns in the move because of their weight and their location on top of these drawer cabinets. But that’s done.
A a few more large items and then just lots of little things to pack up and grid wall to take off, but I can see an end in sight now.

Drop Day!!!
This is two weeks of books so there are lots of releases today!
Open 11-3
Please come in the restaurant side because we are still taking apart the retail side and it’s not safe for customers to walk around in that area. We have a makeshift checkout area on the old restaurant side. Pulls are ready and we have other titles to choose from.
We hope everyone takes this opportunity to pick up their orders, it will be a while until everything is set up and running as normal in the new location. We will be open more days as time passes but it will be reduced hours like today.
If you can’t make it during the hours we post please reach out to us, we are happy to accommodate you.
It is a Preview week and we also have free ashcans of Marvel’s dark universe line starting up called Midnight.
DC’s Poison Ivy event starts today called Bad Seeds.

The big sale starts at 11 today.
This is an in person sale’s only. If it rains you can pay for the item and we’ll work out a later date that you can pick it up within a week.
I’m putting together a few things that are not arcade related like a washer and dryer combo for $95, our restaurant trash bin $45 and a CD changer with speakers for $15.
Credit or debit card payments preferred today.

Progress Report.
The name of the game right now is Get Everything Out of the Old Location and Into the New. The basement has become a temporary holding spot for a lot of stuff while we make the jump.
It’s amazing what a little new lighting, organization and a lot of cleaning can do. The basement has become incredibly valuable space for the move.
We have a dehumidifier going, air filter and we found a good trick to get the super fine dust that would just float in the air when we swept up and off the floors.
We feel very confident now that this area is safe to store our electronic replacement parts for repairing consoles. We have a lot of bins with none working video game consoles that we use for parts when fixing stuff for customers.
We also have our extra grid wall shelves down here since at this moment they are just taking up space.
This Saturday is our moving sale for Arcade Cabinets. Don’t miss that, I’m working on some fantastic pricing on those. If you were ever thinking about buying any… Saturday is your day!!!

Drop Day is on Pause this week for a couple of reasons.
I won’t go into all the details but there is some misunderstanding with the shipping of our books and they thought we wanted them to hold shipments until we were set up at the new spot.
That is not what we wanted so half the books were late and we were unable to process them in time for today. Some other factors and the move just made more sense to do this week with next week.
Here are a few of the Marvel titles we will have available next week.
Sorry about the inconvenience and we will see Pull Members next week.
