Started this painting about 6+ months ago, wasn’t satisfied with how the background looked in the beginning, fixed it up a bit and added what was intended to go into it, months later, and I love it. This painting was for a coworker of mine and I’m very grateful for her understanding that artists get “writers block” as she is an artist, herself. Artists are their own biggest critique, we see an image and expect our hands to make it exactly as we imagined, but it doesn’t always happen like that. You may start something and get very unsatisfied with how it’s developing, it’s okay to step away for a while until you feel that “spark” again.
