My client came in with virgin hair (iykyk 🤌🏼), and it lifted to the most even, dreamy blonde. We finished her off with the perfect toner… bright, but not too bright… just enough to make it pop without taking over ✨

And bonus… she was super cool and I loved talking to her the entire time!

A partial highlight includes the crown, sides, and top.

All color services include a blow dry and style. Haircuts can be added to any color service for an additional $20.

Some haircuts may require washing and styling to ensure precision and the best finished look.

Let’s talk box dye & expectations 💁🏼‍♀️

When you come in with dark box dye, you’ve got to have an open mind.

Box dye isn’t “bad,” but it is more difficult to work with. It’s made with stronger, one-size-fits-all formulas (higher ammonia and heavy, packed-in pigments) so it can work on anyone’s hair. Because of that, the color sits deep in the hair and is harder to remove or lift back out.

Even darker salon color can be tough—but box dye especially tends to hang on.

Here’s the reality:
✨ Color does NOT lift color
✨ Only lightener (bleach) can remove existing color
✨ And lifting dark color takes time

Another big factor is hair integrity. Your hair has to be strong enough to handle the process. Sometimes going lighter in one session just isn’t worth the damage it could cause.

Example from today:
My client came in with darker box dye (a dark brown) and was open to whatever direction her hair would safely go—whether that meant lighter or darker than her original goal. Because she trusted the process and kept an open mind, we were able to get her to a result that still looked beautiful and made sense for her hair.

So if you’re coming in wanting to go lighter or blonde:
✨ Sometimes we can get you there in one session
✨ Sometimes it takes multiple appointments
✨ Sometimes we have to take a slower, healthier route

The biggest thing is trust, honesty, and realistic expectations. Be upfront with your stylist about your hair history. What’s been on it matters more than you think. Also, no matter how long it has been, box dye or any dye, never leaves your hair until it’s grown and cut out.

Healthy hair always comes first… and the end goal is worth the patience 💛
