The Dayan has a hunt sanity threshold of 50% by default. When a player is nearby, this threshold is decreased to 45% if the player is still, and increased to 65% if the player is walking.
When a player is within 10 metres of the Dayan, whether on the same floor or not, the ghost will move at a fixed speed of 2.25 m/s if the player moves, or at a fixed speed of 1.2 m/s if the player is still. If there is no player within 10 metres, the Dayan will follow standard ghost speeds with one particularity: if the Dayan has line-of-sight with a player within 10 metres, the speed increase from continuous line-of-sight adds in the background, and will only be applied once it is no longer near any player.
