The Friends of Herter Park (FoHP) is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit volunteer organization, dedicated to re-activating the public spaces and Amphitheater in Herter Park, along the Charles River in Allston. The Herter Park Amphitheater has 350 seats, plus 200 lawn seats. Beginning as a grassroots volunteer effort in 2015, we obtained 501(c)3 status in early 2017. We have three Officers, a Board of six,
plus our many volunteers and committee members assisting us with Site Maintenance, Programming, Outreach, Volunteer Recruitment and Fundraising. Our Board and Committees are made up of people with diverse backgrounds well suited to assist in activating the Amphitheater at Herter Park. We are community development professionals, landscape architects, financial analysts, cycling community advocates, community theater folk and theater professionals, musicians, general contractors, environmental conservancy groups, residents, local employees and college students.
