The Fort Delaware Cornet Band is the premier Civl War Brass Band in the Delaware Valley, which represents an impression of the original Artillery Brass Band that was in residence at Fort Delaware during the Civil War. The band performs on original and replica Civil War Era instruments and performs music of the Civil War Era. The band performs regularly at balls, concerts and educational events thr

oughout NJ, DE, MD and PA. The band is made up of music educators and musicians with both an extensive history in the Civil War reenacting community as well as in musical excellence. The majority of the members are also direct descendants of Union veterans and are proud to bring their ancestors' legacy to life. Hey! On 11/11/25 the movie that the Fort Delaware Cornet appears in will be released on Amazon Prime for rental or purchase, “A Gettysburg Christmas.” Just prior to the film being made, the Fort Delaware Cornet Band recorded a Christmas album in the historic Prince of Peace Church in Gettysburg, PA. Although not affiliated with the film, we felt it appropriate to name the album, “A Gettysburg Christmas.” We hope you’ll consider checking it out on iTunes, Amazon Music or Spotify, and make it a part of your holiday tradition- all music is of the Victorian Era and performed on instruments of the era.
