Although ArtsFest 2020 has been canceled, we would love to bring it back in the future. For that to happen our organization, The Alternative Gallery, needs support to continue forward.

ArtsFest may come once a year, but the work of the AG happens year round. We're a grassroots organization that many people in our community have come to depend on. And now it's needed more than ever.

Our Story

Allentown ArtsFest is the Lehigh Valley's largest alternative arts festival aimed at celebrating the diverse culture and voice of the area. Join us for our 3-day celebration at the beautiful Cedar Beach Park during this free community event! The fest focuses on unique and emerging mediums of art, creators and genres of music in the form of performance based content and interactive elements. Our aim is to include the everyday person in the creative process instead of just being a spectator. Each year over 100 artists, vendors, local organizations, small businesses and non-profits participate in the festival which highlights a diverse range of mediums including; music, film, sculpture, installations, classes & demos, comedy, technology, upcycling and much more. The Graffiti Jam section features live breakdancing competitions, DJs, and graffiti artists from the across the East Coast. These artists will create on 16 foot wide panels which will then be installed throughout the Lehigh Valley following the festival. Also present are local food trucks and vendors serving up a variety of cuisine including cultural and ethnic offerings, as well as all of your festival favorites! ArtsFest offers multiple stages of free music and performances all weekend long. The performers include local musicians, traveling and touring acts. A wide range of genres will be heard including Blues, Prog Rock, Cowpunk, Folk, Metal, Jazz and more.
