Today we had the opportunity to meet with Lisa, who is the Donor Relations Manager for Planned Parenthood to give our donation from our -LVArtists -Event! It was great connecting with such an important organization. We spoke about planning next years event. What I paint and see is not what you will always find when you are looking. My paintings are spiritual, they will speak to you and hopefully emotionally effect you if you allow them.

About myself..bio:

My painting The Lord is My Shepherd is a representation of myself during my chemo treatments for lymphoma 16 years ago. I started back to painting and taking classes at Cheltenham Center of the Arts as therapy after my recovery.

Our event is now over, however it is neither an end or a beginning because this fight for our rights came before us and alas it will continue past our days. However each good fight is a step in the right direction, if we can open someone's mind, and be heard.
That said, Dina Valentini & I started this event idea from just a seed of thought, and it grew, and grew, and from there grew a team, passionate artists,local business sponsors and volunteer support. I thank you all more than I have words. I cannot express the joy I felt seeing community from near and far come together to support Planned Parenthood; Fund for Choice & productive rights.

We are not done fighting, and will be back again in the future with even more fury. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next event!

Last chance to see the ART EXHIBIT! This is the last week! The artists will be coming to pick up their work, so if you haven't seen it yet, contact The Alternative Gallery asap to go see it before it's gone! It was a great show.

The jumbo postcards are here! (6 by 11 inches), they are beautiful community art from the show and they are huge! There are only 50 of these. They are a limited edition post card! So if you are interested, order yours now! They are $5. each and that will go to the cause. If you have them mailed to you, please include $3. for shipping and handling. This card would also look great as a framed piece of community art. Graffitti is one of the most honest mediums of art that exists. It's an opportunity for people to express how they really feel about something.

I myself just bought 7 of them! 6 to mail to the SCOTUS who overturned Roe V Wade and one to frame and hang on my wall!

Oh My Goodness, I still feel on top of the world that my team and I put on such an epic event! TY Ariana Smith, Cynthia Rodriguez, Dina Valentini Wanamaker, jennifer, Shannon Floyd and all our volunteer crew! You all helped to hold it together! We are continuing to raise funds for Planned Parenthood Keystone Fund for Choice. I am so sorry that the Morning Call stepped back from running a feature on us! Do Better Mcall!

And here is a breakdown of who voted how....

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday voted to overturn landmark ruling Roe v. Wade, which provided constitutional protections for abortions across the nation for nearly 50 years, leaving power to the states.

These are our Supreme Court Justices. It was basically 6-3 to overturn Roe vs. Wade. So when we mail those postcards, make sure it is addressed to the right ones.

Very important note: This is NOT "hate mail". This is "we really don't like you mail" and "you f@$ked up" mail.

Greetings everyone!

Again thank you to all who attended the event last night and supported the cause! And a special shout-out to all of those who participated in our community art project, the "graffitti wall" sponsored by The Underworld Art Studio.

This special community project had a wall for people to get creative in responding to the question posted, "WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY TO THE SUPREME COURT?" The purpose was to then turn it into a postcard so people can mail them to members of the Supreme Court. The back of each card is blank to add extra text if you choose to do so.
