The Gathered Collection - No. 01

Ohhh yes!!!! I have started creating fresh new handmade home decor to add to the shop! I want to introduce a collection that can be used for beautiful decor in the home, ofcourse. I also want it to be something that can be used year round with opportunity for seasonal inspiration 🌞🍂🌼❄️

So here we have it! Decorative word cards that can be added into any vignette, styled in any corner & added to any style decor. This collection is the first of many. But what makes it special is it describes what Gathered Home is all about. Nostalgia, antique, vintage, timeless, heirloom, homestead, gather, home. All words I hope inspire you as much as they have inspired me 🩷

100 Items!!! Woo Hoo!!! 🥳

As of right now, I have 100 items listed in my Etsy Shop!!

I have been blessed to have almost 50 sales! My goal has been to get 100 items in my shop at any given time. I have been selling at such an awesome rate that I haven't quite gotten there yet!

It's been a lot of work getting this Etsy Shop up and running. It is still a work in progress but I am learning as I go & have been getting such great feedback! Thank you to all who have placed an order, have favored my shop, or simply checked it out! It all means the world!

Antique Vs Vintage 🤔

Vintage refers to anything 20-99 years old. So as of today, anything made before July 2006 is considered true Vintage.

Antique references anything 100 years or older. Items in this category, as of today, need to be made before July 1926 to be considered a true Antique.

Now that we've established that I am indeed Vintage 🙄.....I'd love to share with you a rare find!

This Antique Haviland & Co. Limoges Sugar Bowl I recently found thrifting which is extremely rare for me. I knew right away it had to be something special...and I was right. It's a true antique.

Made as early as the 1890s, this rare and unique find is in almost perfect condition and now nestled in my Etsy Shop ✨️

Boy do I love the thrill of the hunt 😍

How Do We Feel About AI Generated Styling?

I myself am not a fan of it, but it does make it so much quicker for uploading into Etsy listings. And also is so nice to have the pictures have a uniform look. 🤔

Reclaiming Pieces That Have Otherwise Been Forgotten

These once second hand wooden rolling pins have been given a cozy cottagecore style makeover. Lots of techniques used including sanding, painting, transfers, distressing, & sealing. Tied with a jute bow.

Did you know?

Longaberger not only was credited for their beautiful basket design.

The company also had their hand in home decor as well. These vintage butter paddles are real stained wood and have these adorable cottagecore cut out designs. 🪿 ❤️

This is pretty cool!

This vintage copper fish mold originally came from "bamberger's", a prominent American department store chain based in New Jersey. Bamberger's eventually sold to R.H. Macy & Co, who eventually changed the retail locations names to what we know today as Macy's!

This beautiful copper mold still has the original bamberger's price tag in tact! Given the Bamberger's price tag style and the $17.00 original price (which was relatively high for a kitchen mold at the time), this piece likely dates back to the 1970s or early 1980s, when gourmet cooking and decorative copper kitchenware were highly trendy.
