☃️ WEEKEND WEATHER UPDATE: Our wintry weather is almost over, but it was pretty while it lasted! Here are some final reminders as we head into the weekend.

❄️ Allen Community Ice Rink will reopen at noon on Saturday, January 11. Ice Rink classes and activities scheduled before noon on Saturday, January 11, are canceled.

🚗 WEATHER/TRAVEL CONDITIONS: Although temperatures will remain above freezing for the rest of the afternoon, there may still be slick spots on some roads, especially on bridges and overpasses in North Texas. As temperatures fall below freezing after sunset, melting snow will freeze, creating more icy patches overnight. In addition to this, freezing fog may leave dangerous deposits on the roads. Be cautious, as roads may remain icy and hazardous through Saturday morning. Please take extra care when traveling tonight and into tomorrow morning.

❄️The Allen Academy of Skating dazzled the audience at the Credit Union of Texas Presents Holidays on Ice Show!

⛸️Figure skaters of all levels impressed the crowd with twirls, jumps and glides that truly sleighed.

👏 A huge congratulations to the record number of performers and coaches who made this ice-tacular event possible.

2024 Skate America returns to Allen, Texas, October 18-20. See some of the world's best skaters, including Olympians and World champions, compete in the kick-off event for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series. Headlining the event for the U.S. are four World medalists: Madison Chock and Even Bates, Ilia Malinin, and Isabeau Levito.
