The Weekly Update May 24, 2026

We had some weather and health issues this week, but still managed to get in 4 events. Mick did an inclusive renaissance event on Sunday, we did elementary school events in Wyandotte on Wednesday and Thursday and also did our first Block Party for the Allen Park DDA on Thursday night. Yes, we've started to do some events as a divide and conquer, which is great!

This week is a little slower, probably due to the holiday. On Wednesday, we're going to a private party, Friday will find Mick at the Allen Park Farmers Market, and on Sunday, we'll be at the first Sunday Socials of the season from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

We're starting to book some school events on weekdays, so if you've been thinking about it, now is probably the time to book us.

The Weekly Update (May 17, 2026)

Well, it was kind of a bad week with Steve getting surgery and recovery being a little tougher this time. We only had two events, but we could have had six. Our apologies to those we either declined of canceled. We had Under 5 Story time on Wednesday and today Mick went out to Wixom for an Inclusive Renaissance Event.

This week we've got a little more on the schedule. We'll be at the Allen Park Public Library on Tuesday from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm for their Garden Club Party and back on Wednesday from 10:30 am - 11:30 am for the last Under 5 Story Time of the season. Later on Wednesday we're heading to Wyandotte for a school picnic. On Thursday, we'll be back at the library from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm for the Allen Park DDA's Music & Magic (kids) Block Party; we'll also be in Wyandotte that night for a spring movie night. On Saturday, we'll be in Allen Park for Spring Carnival at Angelica Lutheran Church from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.

No Allen Park Farmer's Market this week due to Memorial Day.

The Weekly Update (May 10, 2026)

We had kind of a tough time this week and had to cancel two events due to medical issues. We only did one event and it was the Allen Park Farmers Market and it was doozy -- more than 300 inflations in just 4 hours.

This week, we continue to have medical issues as Steve has surgery on Friday. We expect to be at the Allen Park Public Library on Wednesday from 10:30 am - 11:30 am for Under 5 Story Time. On Saturday, we'll be on hand for Allen Park Athletic Club's opening day, followed by a trip to Southgate for a school carnival. On Sunday, we're heading to Milford for an autism awareness Renaissance festival.

The Weekly Update (May 3, 2026)

It was a pretty busy week with 4 events. Monday we were at Allendale Elementary School for their Autism Awareness Walk, Wednesday we were at Under 5 Story Time at the Allen Park Public Library, Friday we were at the Allen Park Farmer's Market and Saturday Night we were at the Downriver Mom Prom.

This week, we're back at the Library for Under 5 Story Time at 10:30 am - 11:30 am on Wednesday. Thursday we'll be at the inaugural Allen Park DDA Block Party from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Friday will find us back at the Allen Park Farmers Market from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

We had a very rare cancellation on Saturday; the temps meant balloons wouldn't work well.

The Weekly Update (April 26, 2026)

We had a pretty busy week with Under 5 Story Time, the Spring Fling for Lindemann PTA (many thanks to Linda Folster for stepping in for us), and an Autism Awareness event on Saturday.

This week is looking even busier. Tomorrow, we'll be at an Autism Walk for Mel-Nap Schools; Wednesday we'll be back at the Allen Park Public Library from 10:30 am - 11:30 am for Under 5 Story Time. On Friday, we'll be at the opening of this year's Allen Park Farmers Market from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Saturday, we have two events. We'll be helping out at Opening Day for Melvindale Little League and then in the evening we'll be at The Grecian Center for the Downriver Mom Prom from 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm.

If you're looking to book us this summer, now is definitely the time; our schedule is filling up quickly.

The Weekly Update (April 19, 2026)

We had a pretty busy week with 4 appearances. We were at the Allen Park Library for Under 5 Story Time on Wednesday; Saturday found us at an Autism Walk at Crestwood High in the morning and at Great Lakes Ace Hardware's grand reopening in the afternoon. Today found us at the Ford Performing Arts center in Dearborn helping out with an event for Blue Hands United for Autism.

This week isn't quite as busy, it's kind of the calm before the storm. On Wednesday, we'll be at the Allen Park Public Library from 10:30 am - 11:30 am for Under 5 Story Time. On Thursday, our friend Linda will be covering for us at the Lindemann School dance.

If you're starting to think about end of the school year events, now is the time to book us. Mondays - Thursdays are really your best chance to book us for the rest of the summer.
