What a great night for North Polk music at State Large Group Contest! 🎶

Congratulations to our 11/12 Band on earning a Division I rating and our 9/10 Band on earning a Division II rating! We are so proud of the energy, preparation, and heart these students brought to the stage. Their hard work all year long was on full display, and they represented North Polk in a fantastic way.

A HUGE shoutout goes to all of our amazing parent volunteers and supporters who helped make the night run smoothly. Whether hauling equipment, organizing, cheering, or simply being there for our students — thank you! We truly couldn’t do it without you.

And of course, congratulations to our choir friends as well on all of their awesome performances and accomplishments! It was a pretty incredible day for the North Polk music department. 🎵☄️

Wrapping up an incredible NYC trip! 🗽

On our final day, we explored the American Museum of Natural History, enjoyed lunch at Puglia’s, spent time in Chinatown and Little Italy, and capped it all off with a dinner cruise and dancing around Manhattan.

What an unforgettable experience from start to finish. So proud of this group and all the memories they made—now we’re headed home! 🎶

Another full and meaningful day in NYC! 🗽

We visited Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, spent time at Battery Park, paid our respects at Alexander Hamilton’s gravesite, walked through Wall Street, and reflected at the 9/11 Memorial. We wrapped up the day with the energy of Times Square and an evening performance of The Great Gatsby.

A powerful mix of history, reflection, and fun—these students continue to make the most of every moment! 🎶

Another unforgettable day in NYC! 🗽

We started the day at St. Peter’s Church, spent time exploring 5th Ave., toured the Intrepid, and had a blast at Ellen’s Stardust Diner. We wrapped it all up with an amazing performance of Wicked on Broadway!

These students continue to impress every step of the way—such a fun group to travel with! 🎶

What a day in NYC! 🗽

Our HS band had an incredible time exploring the city—taking in the art at the MET, experiencing the magic of Radio City, stopping at Top of the Rock for those amazing views, and enjoying Gale’s Broadway Rose.

Most importantly, these kids were absolutely awesome all day long. Proud of how they represented NP and even more glad they had so much fun! 🎶

We are excited that our 11-12 band will be sharing the stage on Monday with the North Polk Bands 11-12 Wind Ensemble and the ISU Wind Ensemble! Join us at 7:30 at North Polk High School for what should be a really impressive concert featuring some great music!
