We just crossed the halfway mark.

As of today, 51% of our 2026 Holiday Gift Calendars have already found homes. Which means there are now officially fewer waiting to be claimed than there are already spoken for.

And December is still a long way off.

Every calendar is being assembled right here at The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™ — filled with yarn, handmade treasures, little surprises, and the kind of things we hope make opening each day feel like an event all its own.

Apparently some of you take your holiday treasure hunting very seriously.

Because handmade still matters.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who visited us during the Michigan Fiber Festival!

What a week. We met so many wonderful makers, welcomed familiar faces back to The Den, made a whole bunch of new friends, talked about an astonishing amount of yarn, and had an absolutely fantastic time.

And now… the Bear and the Fox are tired. Very, very tired.

So we’re going to close up The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™ for Tuesday and Wednesday, put our paws up, drink something restorative, and recover from all the Fiber Fest excitement.

We’ll be back, rested and ready to go, for regular hours starting Thursday.

Thank you for making Fiber Fest week such a memorable one. We’re incredibly grateful that so many of you made The Den part of your adventure.

Now, if anyone needs us, we’ll be horizontal.

Yesterday was quite a day at The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™.

To everyone who made us part of your Michigan Fiber Festival adventure — thank you.

Thank you for stopping in, bringing your friends, telling us where you traveled from, exploring the shop, spending time in The Den, laughing with us, and letting us be a little part of your weekend.

We met so many wonderful people yesterday — some visiting for the first time and plenty of familiar faces returning to see us again. By the time we finally locked the doors last night, we were tired, grateful, and very aware of just how lucky we are to do this.

And then we stepped outside and Allegan gave us this.

Pretty good way to end the day.

Thank you for coming to Allegan. Thank you for supporting small businesses while you’re here. And thank you for making The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™ part of your Fiber Fest tradition.

We get to do it all again today.

Because handmade still matters.

COMING DOWNTOWN DURING FIBER FEST?

We’ve got your parking covered, too.

There are several FREE public parking lots throughout downtown Allegan, plus free on-street parking throughout the downtown area.

We’ve marked the public lots on this map so you can save it to your phone and have it handy while you’re here.

Downtown Allegan is compact and walkable, with sidewalks connecting the shopping, dining and riverfront areas — so find a spot, park the car and explore for a while.

And yes, we’ve marked The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™ on the map, too. We figured you might need that.

Coming to Allegan for the Michigan Fiber Festival?

You already know where you’re going to find the fiber. But sooner or later, you’re going to need FOOD.

One of the things we love about downtown Allegan is just how much is packed into a few walkable blocks. Coffee and breakfast, burgers, Mexican food, breweries, cocktails, dinner along the river — there are plenty of places to refuel before heading back for just one more skein.

We put together a handy guide (and map!) showing some of the downtown eateries near The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™ so you can spend less time figuring out where to eat and more time enjoying your Fiber Fest visit.

And remember: we’re open extended hours Wednesday through Sunday, 11am–7pm, during the Michigan Fiber Festival.
