the University's commitment to sustainability, it has been built to high LEED standards and feature vegetated green roofs. Photo voltaic cells on the Soka Performing Arts Center roof generate approximately 15% of the facility's electrical needs.

Happy Pride Month from the Soka Performing Arts Center! In this month, we remember November 2024, when the brilliant KT Tunstall rocked our Concert Hall with Shawn Colvin. As an artist who has long embraced fluidity and stood as a fierce ally to the LGBTQ+ community, KT’s music reminds us of the joy found in living authentically.

Inspired by Patti Smith, an androgynous q***r icon, Suddently I See, by KT Tunstall has become an anthem to the LGBTQIA+ community, and consequently a must for every Pride Month playlist. The lyrics describe the powerful moment of discovering your true identity and realizing exactly who you want to be.
