Yall, the sign is up! When I tell you God is amazing, He really is! God never miss! I now truly understand the importance of not just having a name, but a "GOOD" name!
It is with esteemed pleasure that we invite you to the Unveiling Ceremony of the Aliceville City Park in honor of my daddy, The Late Honorable Robert "Cookie Man" Wilder on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 11:00am.
In conjunction, as my daddy makes history, there will be a Family/Friend Appreciation Luncheon immediately following!
Thank you to the Aliceville Planning and Zoning Board for their unanimous vote in renaming the city park. From what I was told, it was a "no brainer". Thank you for honoring my dad with this name change!
Also, thank you to the - Aliceville Mayor Terrence E. Windham and the previous term council members (they actually served with my dad as council buddies). Thank you for voting to make the "name change" official"! I can't thank you all enough for this tremendous honor.
Just a little history lesson, my daddy served as the Aliceville Municipal Park Director for over 10+ years. I remember when I was little girl watching my daddy drag and line the fields for many softball and baseball games. He worked every capacity of the park; he believed in well manicured fields and his grass cutting was flawless!
Well Deserved Daddy! May the work I've done speak for me!
