2026 season is in the books!!!! We averaged just over 85 cars a night, not bad for a Thursday. Congratulations to all our point champions.

I want to thank all my officials who showed up and did their jobs each week, couldn’t do it without you. To all the concession workers both pit side and grandstand, keeping this crowd fed and hydrated is a big job , thank you. A big time Thank You to all of the Fairboard members for working behind the scenes to make sure the lights stay on at Kossuth County and making sure we have the tools and the commitment to keep moving forward.
Thank You to each and every sponsor of the track, much like the drivers and teams we couldn’t do it without you.
To the teams that showed up week in and week out to put on a show Thank You, we had some of the best turn laps here this season. The fans , you are amazing , every week showing up to cheer on your favorite drivers .

I know I missed some and if I did I am sorry. If I did just know I am thankful for all you did as well.

My biggest Thank You goes to Braxton Long, Carter Anderson, Ed wolf, and Timmy Rezac. These guys busted their butts week in and week out to get the track in shape to race and I think they did a tremendous job!!!!!

Turning ahead to 2027 we will be adding dirt and reshaping corners after Labor Day holiday( need a break) and as you know when you come back next year we will have a new grandstand . We are discussing some options for classes and specials next season. Planning on keeping mostly the same line up with some minor tweaks. To early to know yet.
In closing Thanks again and good luck the rest of the season and we hope to see you back in 2027!!!’

The final fan zone of the year at Kossuth County Speedway. Stop early from 6 to 630 and see Kelly Shryock, Troy Swearingen,,Taylor Andringa, and Alec Fett at the Jake Long Memorial .
1st time for Crown Vic’s, Hobby Stock Shootout, special give aways from Kelly Shryock Racing and hopefully the last race on the old grandstand. Come on out have some fun, we’ll save a ticket for you!!!

Current Jake Long Memorial Hobby Stock Shootout Qualifiers,
1. Dan Hanselman
2. Nathan DeRagon
3. Brandon Nielsen
4. Austin Jahnz
5. Chris Krug
6. Cory Probst
7. Tim Sidles

We will fill last spot after Hobby Championship feature. If we do not get another new feature winner or if someone in this list of 7 drivers is not here then we will fill out of the point sheet with highest non qualified point person getting in and so on .

It will be an 8 car 8 lap shootout for a 1000 total purse. Each driver will get paid out of the 1000 ,with winner getting 400 and a 4.5 ft tall trophy.

All 8 drivers will draw for starting spot after the hobby feature and we will let any non feature winners know if they qualified after the feature so they can come up and draw.
