In solidarity with the Nationwide Shutdown, Kindred Collective will not be conducting any business this Friday, 1/30. ICE OUT EVERYWHERE!!
Instead, we will be opening the doors of the shop from 12 to 2 pm for the community to gather in a collective action of solidarity by accepting financial donations to benefit the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund of Minnesota https://www.wfmn.org/funds/immigrant-rapid-response/. All donations are tax deductible and receipts can be provided. We will also have hot coffee and tea available should you wish to hang out and find solidarity in the company of your fellow humans.
Was this an easy decision to make? Yes and no. Yes, because community action and support is one of the MAJOR tenets of what Kindred believes in. No, because January is notoriously a tough month for most small businesses and ours is no exception to this. To make sure the community we seek to defend and uphold stays as vital as it is, please consider supporting your local businesses a little extra this Thursday and Saturday so that we are able to continue doing what we love: serving and enriching our community.
Please also remember, each business in our community makes the decision to open or close based on their ability to do so and its always best practice to support a small business no matter what!
Hope to see on Friday and see you soon!
