The mighty SPARKS have a new live album out! It's their first official live record, with the setlist reflecting last year's tour in support of MAD!, their 26th studio album. Back from vacation! Found a cool little record stall in Camden Market in London, where I saw this compilation by one of the best British bands ever, Doves. Many a night in our band's van was spent listening to their second album, "The Last Broadcast." This is an impressive collection, and it survived a lot of travel to get here.

This is an interesting soundtrack. I've never heard this version of it. Well, sort of - EVERYONE who's seen this movie has heard it. This particular 40th anniversary iteration was put together from HALLOWEEN's original film reel soundtrack stems, meaning that all the pitch shifts, re-edits, and volume dips that you heard in the movie are on this record. I've just never heard it isolated (there are minor dialogue leaks in the quiet parts, though). It's a completely different animal than the original soundtrack release, and I like it.
